A vehicle wrecked while being pursued by the Richmond Police Department Saturday evening.
At approximately 10:30 p.m. an officer attempted to stop a vehicle while it was being driven eastbound on Dock Street.
The vehicle increased speed and lost control and wrecked against a parking structure in the 2300 block of Dock Street. Dock Street was closed to traffic to allow the Department Crash Team to investigate the scene and to allow time for the vehicle to be removed.
A male, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was transported to VCU Medical Center with injuries that are not considered life threatening.
The Department Crash Team is continuing the investigation.
