An arrest has been made in the
shooting of a man on the Martin
Luther King
Bridge last week.
At approximately 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, a
45-year-old man called police after he was shot.
At approximately 2 p.m. today, the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Thomas L. Gilmore, 19, of the 500 block of North 19th Street ,
and charged him with malicious wounding and use of a firearm during the
commission of a felony in connection with this crime.
Detectives would like to thank
members of the community who stepped forward to help with this investigation,
which enabled detectives to quickly obtain warrants for Gilmore.
Though this investigation is
ongoing, detectives are not looking for any other suspects at this time.
