Three Arrests for April Violence Results in 53 Indictments

Richmond Police detectives are proud to announce multiple indictments and arrests that will clear nearly all of the April homicides and shootings in the city.

Additionally, detectives have either identified or obtained warrants for persons wanted in several other incidents.

“These detectives should be commended for all of their non-stop hard work to investigate these crimes, link them together and find and arrest the people responsible,” Deputy Chief John Buturla said.

“Every time a life is lost, it’s a tragedy. But I think these indictments show that when you commit crimes in the Richmond area, we will find and arrest you. But we could not have done this without the tremendous support and tips we received from the community, as well as our law enforcement partners.”
