Cowardin Avenue Homicide

Richmond Police detectives have identified the man shot to death this morning as Freddie Fields, 46, of no confirmed address.

Officers were called to the 400 block of Cowardin Avenue at approximately 5:18 a.m. for a report of a man down. When they arrived, they found Fields deceased at the scene.

Detectives are asking for the public’s help to find the offenders and also ask that anyone who may have heard something or saw something in that area this morning to please call investigators.
