The Department is now investigating Monday's incident on
North Hopkins Road as a homicide.
Detectives need the public's assistance to help identify the victim. She is described as a black female, 25-35 years of age with a thin build. The victim is approximately five feet five inches tall with a buzz-style haircut.
She was wearing a grey T-shirt with the words "Free and Proud" on the front and also a black Nike basketball jersey.
Tattoo on her left forearm reads "Sammy G".
Tattoo on right knuckles reads "G-O-D-S".
Tattoo on left knuckles reads "G-I-F-T".
At approximately 8:39
a.m. Monday, officers received a call from a passerby who had found the
body of an adult black female in a wooded area northwest of the 3700 block of North Hopkins Road.
The Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause and
manner of death.
