Arrest Made in Midlothian Turnpike Homicide

Within 24 hours of Saturday’s homicide, Richmond Police detectives have identified the victim and made an arrest in the case.

At approximately 11:34 p.m. Saturday, officers received a call for a person shot in the 6300 block of Midlothian Turnpike. Officers arrived on scene within a minute and found Chong Kyu Han, 58, of the 8300 block of Houghton Place in Chesterfield County, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He died at the scene.

On Sunday, detectives identified and arrested a person of interest--Arthur  L. Moore, 27, of the 900 block of North 30th Street—and charged him with conspiracy to commit robbery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. His mugshot is below.

The investigation remains ongoing, and detectives believe robbery was the motive for this crime.
