Street Homicide
Richmond Police detectives are in the early stages of a
homicide investigation on the city’s Southside this morning.
At approximately 10:17
p.m. last night, officers received a call for a shooting in the 700 block of East 36th Street.
Officers arrived and found a male, in his 50’s, on the street between Stockton
Street and East Broad Rock Road, suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was transported to VCU Medical Center where he died.
Detectives are working to develop an identity of the victim
and a suspect description.
