Richmond Police detectives have identified the victim of
last night’s homicide as Joseph Lee
Sydnor, 55, of the 15,000 block of Sand Wave Road in Chester.
At approximately 10:17
p.m. Thursday, officers received a call for a shooting in the 700 block of East 36th Street.
Officers arrived and found Sydnor on the street between Stockton Street and
East Broad Rock Road, suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was transported to VCU Medical Center where he died.
Detectives are still working to develop suspect information
