The Richmond Police Department has arrested two persons in connection to last month’s homicide on Walmsley Boulevard.
Zaquarie D. Hightower, 19, of the 5700 block of Westover Village Drive and Ayah A. Alshaer, 20, of the 5700 block of Westover Village Drive were arrested Friday on a capias in connection with the murder of Elizabeth M. Ziegler, 34, of the 3400 block of Walmsley Boulevard. Additional charges are pending. Booking photos will be released once they become available.
At approximately 1:23 p.m., on Thursday May 17, officers were
called to the 4200 block of Walmsley Boulevard for the report of a person shot.
Officers responded and found Ziegler, 34, of the 3400 block of Walmsley
Boulevard on a sidewalk suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. She was
transported to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
