Homicide Victim Identified in Belt Boulevard Homicide/Aggravated Assault

The Richmond Police Department has identified the victim of last night’s homicide on Belt Boulevard as
Kenneth L. Brown, 43, of the 900 block of Belt Boulevard.

At approximately 11:45 p.m., officers were called to a home in the 900 block of Belt Boulevard for the report of a person shot. Officers arrived and found Brown in the home, down and unresponsive, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Also at the scene was an adult male who suffered an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital with an injury that was not considered life threatening. He reported an unknown male entered the home and shot both victims before fleeing on foot.

The Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death.
