Richmond Police detectives have now classified February’s death investigation of Rachel Scott, 42, of Beaverdam, VA, as a homicide.
At approximately 11:42 a.m., on Monday, February 14, Richmond Police were called to the Mount Calvary Cemetery, located in the 1400 block of South Randolph Street, for the report of a person down. Officers arrived and located an adult female, Scott, inside a small Gothic-style chamber, down and unresponsive having suffered from an apparent gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives have been investigating and have determined the incident to be a homicide.
