Suspect Charged in Investigation Assisted by RPD’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force

Brentley Birchett, 32, of Richmond, has been charged with possession of child pornography x2. His booking photo is attached.

On Sunday, June 19, a First Precinct officer was called to the 700 block of North 32nd Street for the report of a suspicious male photographing children. An officer arrived and located the male who fled on foot from the area. The officer detained the suspect, Birchett, and found him in possession of child pornography on his mobile phone.

The RPD’s ICAC Task Force assisted in investigating this incident which resulted in the charges against Birchett.
