Arrests are pending after Richmond Police investigated through the night when three people were shot in Gilpin Court.
Just before 6 p.m. Tuesday, officers received a call for a shooting in the 1000 block of Hickory Street. When officers arrived, they found an adult male and adult female who had been shot.
Both were taken to VCU Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. A short time later, another adult male arrived at Community Hospital with gunshot wounds. He is now in stable condition at VCU Medical Center.
Investigators have determined the shooting was in reference to an altercation earlier in the week. It was not a random incident, and investigators have identified suspects and arrests are pending.
The swift action occurred thanks to the great partnerships between Richmond Police, Richmond Redevelopment and Housing Authority and the Gilpin Court community.
