Information Sought in Traffic Crash

Richmond Police need the public’s help to learn more about a fatal car accident this morning.

At approximately 2:30 a.m. today, officers responded to a single vehicle crash in the 5000 block of Warwick Road near Alaska Drive. When officers arrived, they found Jose G. Rivera, 22, of the 1400 block of Clarkson Road, dead at the scene.

Rivera’s vehicle had been going north on Warwick when it ran off the road and struck a tree. Investigators are seeking information about a blue Mustang and its operator who may have knowledge about what happened.

Crash Team investigators would also like to interview two men Rivera was seen talking with at the 7-11 on Broad Rock Boulevard just 10 minutes prior to the accident.
