The Richmond Police Department is investigating Friday’s
shooting death as a homicide.
At 1:24 p.m. Friday,
officers were called to the 2100 block
of Deforrest Street for a report of a person down. Officers found James E. Rousey Jr., 25, of Chester, shot
to death inside a residence.
Detectives are following up on several strong leads and don’t
believe this crime was random.
