The Richmond Police Department is in the early stages of a
homicide investigation on the city’s North side.
At approximately 10:30
p.m. Saturday, officers received a call about a person shot in the 1400 block of East Brookland Park Boulevard.
Officers arrived on scene within minutes and found an adult
male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to VCU Medical
Center where he later died.
Detectives are currently canvassing the area and looking to
speak with anyone who may have heard something or saw something that could help
them investigate this crime.
