The Richmond Police Department has identified the man found
shot to death on East Brookland Park Boulevard this weekend as Garrick Lamont Ellis, 18, of the 2400
block of North 23rd Street.
At approximately 10:30
p.m. Saturday, officers received a call about a person shot in the 1400 block of East Brookland Park Boulevard.
Officers arrived on scene within minutes and found Ellis
suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to VCU Medical Center
where he later died.
Detectives are asking anyone with any information about this
