2015 Richmond Marathon Traffic Advisory

The race is on! The 2015 Richmond Marathon gets underway early Saturday morning, and numerous “No Parking” zones and intermittent road closures will be in effect as a result.

The 8K race will begin at 7 a.m. at Eighth and Broad streets. At 7:30 a.m., runners participating in the half-marathon take off from Seventh and Broad streets. The marathon starts at 7:45 a.m. at the intersection of Fifth and Grace streets.

“No Parking” zones along Fifth Street between Byrd and Tredegar streets will go into effect at 7 a.m. on Friday, November 13. Closures on Broad Street between 12th Street and Boulevard will be enforced starting at midnight Saturday. Other “No Parking” zones will take effect at 3 a.m. Saturday.

Street closures throughout the city will be effective at 4 a.m. the day of the marathon. Major thoroughfares that will be affected include Broad Street, Belvidere Street and the Huguenot Bridge.
