Red Ash Road Homicide

The Richmond Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred in the Blue Ridge Apartment complex.

At approximately 9:25 p.m., officers were called to the 300 block of Red Ash Road for a report of shots fired. Officers arrived and located three persons who were suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

An adult black male was found unresponsive in the rear yard of a structure. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The two other victims, an adult male and a juvenile girl under 10 years of age were found inside the residence.

They were transported to a local hospital with injuries that are not considered life threatening.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of the death.

Detectives have strong leads in this case.
