Person of Interest Sought in Finchley Place Homicide

The Richmond Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify the person of interest in the attached photo sought in connection with the November 16 homicide of Ashley Davis.

At approximately 12:09 a.m. that morning, officers were called to the St. John’s Woods apartment complex for a report of shots fired. When they arrived, they found the body of Ms. Davis, 33, of the 1000 block of Finchley Place, in a wooded area across from the apartment building in the 1000 block of Finchley Place.

The man in the photograph was last seen in the 5700 block of Hull Street.

“We don’t have a detailed description of this individual beyond what can be seen in the photograph,” said Major Crimes Detective Jamie Baynes. “But we hope that someone will recognize his distinctive clothing, including his hat, patterned sweater and gold rimmed glasses.”
