Suspect Sought in Semmes Avenue Robbery

The Richmond Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify the man in the attached photo who is a suspect in a robbery at a convenience store which took place last week.

At approximately 7:15 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 7, officers responded to 2107 Semmes Avenue to investigate a larceny. The suspect entered the store and began to browse several items near register. The victim stated it appeared the suspect was concealing items underneath his sweatshirt and asked if he was going to purchase the items. As he approached her, the suspect said, "I got to get it," and pushed his way behind the counter. He then took several items, including cartons of cigarettes, and fled the scene.

The suspect is described as a black male with a goatee. He has a thin frame, approximately 6`3” to 6’4” in height, 220 pounds in weight. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a white T-shirt underneath a black pullover sweatshirt, a black knit cap and jeans.
