Victim in Providence Park Death Investigation Identified

The Richmond Police Department has identified the victim in a shooting which occurred on Saturday in Providence Park.

Shortly after 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, police were called to the 3400 block of Wellington Street for a report of a robbery. As officers were en route, the call was upgraded to a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found two males suffering from gunshot wounds. One male, Keyvon Johnson, 24, of the 2200 block of 4th Street, was pronounced dead at the scene. The second male was treated for minor injuries and released at the scene.

Police are investigating this incident as a death investigation. No additional details are available at this time.
