The Richmond Police
Department has identified the male who died in this morning’s shooting on
Creighton Road as Javonte Mangum, 21, of the 1900 block of Raven Street.
This morning at
approximately 3:47 a.m., officers were called to the 2100 block of Creighton
Road for the report of random gunfire. Officers arrived and found Mangum
suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to a local
hospital with an injury that was considered life threatening. He succumbed to
his injury later this morning.
The Medical Examiner
will determine cause and manner of death.
