The Richmond
Police Department has charged the suspect in the homicide/hit and run
investigation from last week. Shiauna M. Harris, 21, of the 6600
block of Midlothian Turnpike, has been charged with hit and run causing
death and hit and run causing injury x3. Her booking photo is attached.
On Friday
afternoon, Department detectives arrested Harris in the city of Richmond
without incident. This arrest was the result of a combined effort with the U.S.
Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force, who along with Department detectives,
were relentlessly searching for Harris.
At approximately
1: 55 a.m. on Wednesday, June 26, Harris was operating the vehicle that struck
four persons along East Main Street in Shockoe Bottom, killing one.
