The Richmond Police Department has arrested
a man who traveled from Newport News to Richmond in attempt to have sex with
who he thought was a 10-year-old girl.
Peter T. Garbo, 46, of the 7300 block of
Roanoke Avenue, Newport News, VA
was arrested in Richmond last Friday, March 6. He has been charged with
seven felony offenses of solicitation of a minor using an electronic
communication system. His booking photo is attached.
RPD detectives and the Southern Virginia
Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force conducted an undercover
operation, with assistance from the Newport News Police Department.
No child was ever in danger.
