The
Richmond Police Department has identified the male who died as a result of
yesterday’s shooting incident as Ronnie D. Morrow, 34, of the 1500 block of
Bowen Street.
At
approximately 4:28 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, Second Precinct officers responded to the Cigarette Outlet,
located at 4307 Jefferson Davis Highway, for the report of a person
shot. Once on scene, they found a 33-year-old female suffering from
apparent gunshot wounds to her body. She was taken to a local hospital
with life-threatening injuries, but she is in stable condition.
Officers
also found Morrow suffering from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to
the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
RPD
detectives have determined Morrow and the female victim were known to each
other and that he shot her during an argument. At this time,
investigators are not looking for any other suspects in this case.
