The
Richmond Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred
last Thursday evening in the city’s east end.
At
approximately 7:38 p.m., Thursday, March 19, RPD officers were called to
the 3000 block of Nine Mile Road for a report of a shooting. They
located the victim, a 16 year old juvenile male, inside a convenience
store where he had collapsed after being shot outside the establishment. He was
transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced at 7:59 p.m.
At the request of his family, his name will not be released.
An
adult male who was inside the store at the time was also shot. He was
transported to a local hospital with a non-life threatening injury.
