Blank Ballot Envelopes Stolen from Business -- UPDATED 11/19/2020

We have an update regarding the stolen blank ballot envelopes:

The reported stolen box of blank ballot envelopes were located this morning and no ballot envelopes appear to be missing. The box was found several blocks away from the business. At this time, no arrests have been made. Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect is asked to call Fourth Precinct Detective P. Cho at 804-646-2939.

Richmond Police detectives are currently investigating a post-election theft of unused voting ballot envelopes that were stolen from a business on High Street.

Around 7:40 a.m. yesterday, an unknown suspect stole a box of unused blank ballot envelopes from a business in the 1500 block of High Street. No ballots were in the envelopes. The business does not supply ballot envelopes to the City of Richmond Registrar’s Office. A photo of the ballot envelope is attached.

Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect or whereabouts of the ballot envelopes is asked to call Fourth Precinct Detective P.
