Victim Identified in Garber Street Death Investigation

Richmond Police detectives have identified the victim in last week’s death investigation on Garber Street as Edward Agurs, a male in his thirties.

At approximately 3:30 p.m., on Monday, November 9, officers were called to the Fulton neighborhood for the report of shots fired. Officers arrived and found Edward Agurs in the 1300 block of Nelson Street who had suffered an apparent gunshot wound. Detectives determined the shooting occurred nearby, in the 1400 block of Garber Street.

Agurs was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injury.

The Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death.
