Rosetta Street Death Investigation and Aggravated Assault
At approximately 5:29 a.m., a First Precinct officer on patrol heard gunshots and drove towards Rosetta Street to investigate. A member of the public flagged down the officer and advised that two persons had been shot. In the 2300 block of Rosetta Street, the officer located the two adult males suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Both males were transported to a local hospital. One male succumbed to his injury. The other male had an injury that was not considered life threatening.
The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
Detectives with the Major Crimes unit are investigating.
