Burglary Charges in Missing Man Case




Richmond Police detectives have charged three men with conspiracy to commit burglary in connection with a missing Shockoe Bottom man case.

Tre S. Carrington, 24, and Erik S. Finger Jr., 22, both of the 5900 block of Nestle Avenue; and, Andrew L. Scott, 21, of Henrico County, have each been charged with one felony count of conspiracy to commit burglary. Carrington and Finger Jr. have also been charged with one felony count of grand larceny.

They were arrested after being caught on surveillance video breaking into Matthew Henry Williams’ apartment on Wednesday, Dec. 14. They were some of the last people seen with Williams before he disappeared Tuesday, Dec. 13.

They are considered persons of interest in Williams’ disappearance.

Williams, 23, of the 1900 block of East Cary Street, was last seen about 10 p.m. on Dec. 13 entering his apartment building with the above three men and leaving with them an hour later.

About 1 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, two of those same men are seen breaking into Williams’ apartment without Williams and leaving the scene with his TV and video game console.
