Police Investigating Highland Park Homicide

The Richmond Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred late Christmas Eve in the city’s north side.

Richmond Police received several calls around 11:55 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24, for random gunfire in the vicinity of the 3500 and 3600 blocks of Meadowbridge Road. Officers investigating the calls found a male in his late teens with gunshot wounds. He was taken to VCU Medical Center, where he later died. The victim has not been positively identified.

Detectives are in the early stages of the investigation and are canvassing the Highland Park neighborhood for information to determine a suspect and motive in this homicide.
