Richmond Police detectives have identified and located a
juvenile teen male who is currently being medically evaluated in connection
with last night’s homicide and assault on the Southside.
Warrants have also been obtained for the suspect’s arrest.
At approximately 6:30
p.m. Thursday, officers received a call for an assault in the 200 block of Brandon Road. Officers
arrived on scene within minutes and found two juveniles under the age of 13 who
had been assaulted. One victim died at the scene and the second was taken to
the hospital for treatment.
Initially, detectives were given information that the
suspect was an adult white male with scraggly facial hair, but later determined
the victim had been threatened and intimidated by the suspect, who is a teenage
black male.
