A driver involved in a two-vehicle crash this morning on
Brook Road has died.
At approximately 1:22 a.m., the driver of a 2008 Honda Civic
was traveling south in the 2900 block of Brook Road when she collided into the
rear of a 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier. The driver of the Honda Civic continued
south on Brook Road and struck a Virginia Power utility pole.The driver of the Chevrolet Cavalier, Jillian W.E. Little, 26, of the 3100 block of Brook Boulevard, Quinton, Va. was pronounced dead at the scene. The second driver was transported to a local hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
The RPD Crash Team responded to the scene, where they took measurements and interviewed witnesses. The investigation is still on-going. Charges are expected.
