The Richmond Police Department has identified the victim
from last evening’s homicide as Travis Antoine Horton, 29, of the 3300 block
of Meadowdale Blvd.
At approximately 7:45 p.m., officers were called to the
parking lot of the 701 Express Store at 701 Jefferson Davis Highway for a
report of a person shot. Officers arrived and found Horton, dead, in the
driver’s seat of a vehicle parked in the lot. He’d been shot multiple times.
Detectives know there were several people in the area at the
time who may have witnessed the shooting and, while they have good leads in
this case, they ask those people to call Major Crimes Detective Anthony
