Arrest Made in Midlothian Turnpike Shooting

A Richmond man has been arrested and charged with two felonies in connection with a shooting that took place earlier this month on Midlothian Turnpike.

Corey E. Young, 26, of the 400 block of Westover Hills Boulevard, turned himself in to authorities this morning. He is charged with malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. His booking photo is attached. 
At approximately 7:41 p.m. p.m. on July 20, officers were called to the 4000 block of Midlothian Turnpike for a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, they located an adult male inside an apartment suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
