A fourth
man is wanted on multiple charges in connection with a mid-July shooting that
took place on West Broad Street.
Jerric
D. Norris AKA “Double J” or “Little J”, 20, of Chesterfield, is wanted on charges of attempted
murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Norris
is described as a black male, 5’11” tall, weighing about 230 pounds, with brown
hair and brown eyes. He should be considered armed and dangerous and should
not be approached. Anyone who sees him is asked to call police immediately.
At
approximately 2:42 a.m. on July 16, officers responded to a call of a person
shot in the 1100 block of West Broad Street. They arrived to find an adult male
lying in the street, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to
the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Virginia
Commonwealth University Police provided vital assistance during the preliminary
phase of investigation, including responding to the crime scene, interviewing
witnesses and helping RPD detectives to identify three of the suspects.
Three
arrests have already been made in the case.
On July
26, D-Vonn A. Reaux, 20, of the 3700 block of Lucky Lee Cres North in
Chesterfield County, turned himself in at Richmond Police Headquarters. He
also faces charges of attempted murder and use of a firearm in the
commission of a felony.
A few
days later, Kiante M. Smith, 20, of the 7000 block of Meadowburn Drive in
Chesterfield County, turned himself at Second Precinct. He is charged with attempted
murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Montrell
Graves, 22, of the 2600 block of Perdue Springs Drive in Chesterfield County, turned himself in at Police
Headquarters on August 15. He is charged of attempted murder and use
of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Detectives
have identified a fifth suspect in the case. The investigation is ongoing.
