Arrest Made in Mechanicsville Turnpike Homicide

The Richmond Police Department has made an arrest in connection to a homicide that occurred earlier this week on Mechanicsville Turnpike.

Brian A. Robinson, 33, of the 2700 block of Remington Court was arrested today and has been charged with first-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. His booking photo will be released once it becomes available.

At around 9:15 p.m. on Wednesday, February 5, officers responded to the 804 Market in the 1600 block of Mechanicsville Turnpike for the report of a person shot. When officers arrived, they found Leon Robinson inside, unresponsive and suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced at the scene.
