Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Hull Street Road Hit and Run

The Richmond Police Department’s Crash Team is investigating a fatal hit and run that occurred this morning on Hull Street Road.

At approximately 2:30 a.m., a passerby saw a person down in the roadway in the 5200 block of Hull Street Road and called police. Officers arrived and found an adult male down and unresponsive in an eastbound lane of the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Crash Team responded, collected evidence, took measurements and are investigating. Investigators believe the pedestrian was crossing Hull Street Road from north to south when the male was struck by an eastbound vehicle between 2 a.m. – 2:30 a.m. The driver did not stop and the vehicle left the scene eastbound on Hull Street Road. The collision occurred near the businesses, “Tony’s Auto Repair” and “New and Used Tires Store.”

Investigators are attempting to locate the vehicle and driver. The vehicle may possibly be silver or gray in color with heavy damage to the front end/right passenger front with front windshield damage.
