WHAT:                     Richmond Police Department Community Walk

WHEN:                     5:30 p.m. Today, February 4, 2020

WHERE:                  Family Dollar Parking Lot - 1208 Westover Hills Boulevard

BACKGROUND:     Chief William Smith, Third Precinct Sector 312 Lt. Frank Scarpa and other Richmond Police Department officers will participate in a walk through in Richmond’s Forest View neighborhood at 5:30 p.m. today. During the walk, RPD officers will speak with community members about safety concerns they may have and what they would like to see from the Richmond Police Department.

Newly promoted Sector 312 Lt. Frank Scarpa says they want to remind neighbors to look out for each other to help keep the neighborhood safe.

“If you see something, say something” said Lt. Scarpa.  “We want people to know their neighbors. Check in on each other, lend a helping hand, and report suspicious incidents.”

This event is the latest in a series of walks conducted by the Richmond Police Department in neighborhoods throughout the city.

Members of the media are encouraged to attend.
