Richmond Police detectives
have identified the victim from last night’s fatal shooting that occurred on
Mechanicsville Turnpike as Leon T. Robinson, 27, of the 3700 block of North
Avenue.
At around 9:15 p.m.,
yesterday, officers responded to the 804 Market in the 1600 block of
Mechanicsville Turnpike for the report of a person shot. When officers
arrived, they found Leon Robinson inside, unresponsive and suffering
from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced at the scene.
The Medical Examiner will
determine the cause and manner of death.
