The
Richmond Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred
yesterday in Gilpin Court.
At
approximately 5:40 p.m., Monday, February 17, RPD officers on patrol
heard several gunshots. They responded to the scene and quickly located the
victim, lying on the second floor landing of an apartment building in the 200
block of West Charity Street. He was transported to a local hospital where
he succumbed to his injuries at 6:21 p.m.
The
victim has been identified as Katrez T. Bryant, 18, of the 1000 block of St.
Peter Street.
Shortly
after the shooting, another victim, a juvenile male, arrived by personal
vehicle at a local hospital. He suffered life-threatening gunshot injuries.
