Suspect Sought in Hopkins Road Robbery Attempt and Shooting
Richmond Police detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the male in the attached photos who is a suspect in an attempted robbery and shooting on Saturday on Hopkins Road.
At approximately 10:06 p.m. on Saturday, October 14, officers were called to the 1400 block of Hopkins Road for the report of a shooting. Officers arrived and found an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital with injuries that were not considered life threatening.
The victim reported an unknown male attempted to rob him outside a business and shot him several times. The victim produced a firearm and returned fire but did not strike the suspect. The suspect, seen in the images captured by a nearby camera, fled on foot on Hopkins Road towards Holly Springs Avenue.
