5th Avenue Double Shooting

The Richmond Police Department is investigating a double shooting that occurred last weekend.

At approximately 10:21 p.m., Saturday, September 9, RPD officers were called to the 3200 block of 5th Avenue for a report of a person shot. They quickly located two victims who had been shot:
1.       Female, under 10 years of age, with a non-life threatening wound.
2.       Male, in his 50s, with a life-threatening wound.
The female victim was located on a porch of a residence on 5th Avenue and the male victim was located around the corner on Pollock Street.
The victims are not related and, at this time, detectives have not linked this incident to any other shootings in the city.
