Victim Identified in North 4th Street Death Investigation

The Richmond Police Department has identified the victim of a death investigation which occurred yesterday morning in the Monroe Ward neighborhood.

At approximately 6:20 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, police were called to the 00 block of North 4th Street for a report of a stabbing. Police were told a known individual forced his way into an apartment and began to assault two adult males. During the altercation, the individual suffered a stab wound.

The decedent has been identified as Brandon Lamb, 29, of the 2900 block of Chamberlayne Avenue. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.

Police are pursing this case as a death investigation. Involved parties have been interviewed by police. No charges have been filed at this time.
