Suspect Sought in Jefferson Davis Highway Shooting

Richmond Police detectives are asking for the public’s help to locate a man wanted in connection to a shooting that occurred last week on Jefferson Davis Highway.

Vincent Squire
is wanted on charges of attempted murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Squire is described as a black male who is 5-foot-6 inches tall and weighs approximately 155 lbs. He has tattoos on both arms. His photo is attached.

Squire
is considered armed and dangerous. Detectives urge citizens to call 911 if they see him.

At approximately 12:57 p.m. on Thursday, October 4, officers responded to the 3600 block of Jefferson Davis Highway for the report of a person shot. When police arrived, they located an adult male in the walkway of a motel suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.
