At approximately 8:30 p.m., officers responded to the 5200 block of Chamberlayne Avenue for several reports of a person shot at the 7-Eleven store, located at the intersection of Chamberlayne Avenue and Azalea Avenue. Once on scene, they found an adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
An adult male suspect is in custody.
