The suspect in last week’s homicide on R Street, a juvenile male, 17, of Henrico, surrendered on Saturday without incident at the Richmond Justice Center. He has been charged with murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. A booking photo is not available.
At approximately 5:17 p.m. on Tuesday, July 27, officers were called to the 1900 block of R Street for the report of a shooting. Officers arrived and found a male, Tyree Carroll, 31, of Richmond, on the ground suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
