Richmond Police detectives have identified the victim in this week’s homicide on Holly Springs Avenue as Frederick Boatwright, 30, of Richmond.
Tuesday at approximately 3:19 p.m., Richmond Police responded to the 800 block of Holly Springs Avenue for a report of a shooting. Officers arrived and located Boatwright inside a vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Detectives ask anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area between 2:30 – 3 p.m. on Tuesday or anyone with information about this homicide to call Major Crimes Detective P.
