The Richmond Police Department needs the public’s help to identify a man who robbed a convenience store and was then seen panhandling in the same area afterward.
At approximately 11 p.m. on Monday, June 2, a man walked into the Exxon station at 7100 Patterson Ave. and robbed the business.
Though there are no surveillance images of the incident, the same man was also seen panhandling in the area for several days after the robbery.
The man is described as a white male, 5’9” to 5’-11” feet tall, weighing 180 to 200 pounds and in his mid- to late-40s. He had a mustache and may have a scraggly beard now, as well as salt and pepper hair. He may be homeless and was last seen wearing green sweat pants, a grey Mt Bike baseball cap, sunglasses and his name may be “Ray.”
